This adapter allows A-mount Sony lenses to be used on a full frame E-mount camera body. It features full Auto Exposure (AE) functionality and aperture control, and because it is designed and built by Sony you know there will be no hiccups. This adapter also has an integrated, standard 1/4″ tripod mount to better support heavier lenses. While this adapter is significantly less expensive than the LA-EA4, it does not allow autofocus on A-mount lenses without an internal focusing motor.
